You’ve heard Christopher K on Sacramento’s airwaves for 23 years, and he’s thrilled to start setting his alarm a bit earlier and help you get out of bed and off to work with some good conversation every morning on 101.5 K-Hits!
Chris grew up less than an hour from the Capital City, and his love of music led to an internship at a radio station as a teenager in his small town. After working weekend shifts at stations all around Northern California and Nevada while he attended college at Chico State, Chris landed a radio job in the “big city” after graduation and moved to Sacramento in 1998, spending more than 2 decades at the end of the dial.
Chris married his wife, a life-long Sacramentan, in 2005, and they have 2 grade-school aged children. He is a huge baseball fan, from being a season ticket holder with the San Francisco Giants, to passing his love of the game to the younger generation by coaching his kids’ teams and being on the Board of his local Little League. Chris is also an avid runner, so keep your eye out for him on the trails along the American River.
Chris doesn’t just love playing great music on the radio, he also enjoys playing the piano. Beethoven, Mozart, and Chopin take up space in his CD collection (yes, he still has CDs, not to mention plenty of vinyl!) right next to U2, George Michael, and the Pet Shop Boys, among many others.
Listen to Chris weekday mornings from 6:00 ’til 9:00.
