We know we should be drinking water, but how much do we really need every day?
First, what counts as water? Experts say that many beverages can be counted as water- as long as it’s not alcohol. Coffee and tea are great examples because they add fluid to the body. Water is best, but you don’t have to limit yourself to it.
What should our intake goal be? According to a recent CNN article, the Institute of Medicine recommends that women drink 9 cups of fluid a day and men drink 12 and 1/2.
