An eight-year-old chihuahua was rescued from the side of Route 80 in New Jersey. Stanley is disabled and his foster mom is helping him lose weight to help him get around better. The community is chipping in to buy him a wheelchair and physical therapy services. (story)


A North Carolina man became a hero when he saved two kids from a rip current at the Outer Banks. Jeffrey Del Monte was driving an off-road vehicle when he heard the girls screaming for help. He sprang into action and pulled two girls to safety from the dangerous current. (story)



Craft breweries are finding unique ways to give back: directly donating to food banks, giving distilleries unused beer to produce hand sanitizer, starting relief funds to donate to restaurant and bar workers, and, yes, brewing beers that give back to the community. (story)
