When their class trip was canceled, the Santa Fe Waldorf School did something to help others with the money they had raised. They spent the $2,800 on supplies they donated to the Navajo Nation, which has been hard hit by the coronavirus. Students loaded a van with food, toiletries, paper products, school and cleaning supplies, and handmade face masks and a parent delivered it to Window Rock, Arizona. (story)

 

A nine-year-old in England has finished a marathon using his walker to go a half mile at a time. Tobias Weller has autism and cerebral palsy and wanted to do the 26.2-miles to raise money for a children’s hospital and a school that supports people with neurological conditions like his. He finished it over 70 days and has raised over $106-thousand so far. (story)

An Iowa teenager saved a man’s life on his first solo scuba dive. Calvin Grosvenor went for a dive in West Okoboji Lake with an experienced adult partner, but the man started seizing and sinking minutes into the dive. He stayed calm and used his training to save the man’s life. (story)
