KELLY PRESTON –
October 13, 1962 – July 12, 2020
I was, as was most of the world was, shocked to wake up yesterday to hear that John Travolta’s wife of 28 years, Kelly Preston, had passed away from breast cancer on Sunday.
I always thought she seemed like a very kind person who had entertained Hollywood for many years in various movie roles. I found it touching to hear the warm, heartfelt wards that Travolta and her daughter Ella Travolta had to say on social media about her. Clearly she was very close to and had a great impact on her family, including her son Benjamin and her son Jett who had autism and passed away in 2009.
She had relationships with many Hollywood heart throbs, including George Clooney and Charlie Sheen, but it was Travolta who nabbed her heart, as was evident in a recent Instagram post from their anniversary which among other things read, “I trust my love with you implicitly… with you I know I will always be okay no matter what happens… I love you forever and completely.”
Preston finally lost her two year, silent battle with breast cancer on Sunday. Preston’s final Instagram post was a family selfie in celebration of Father’s Day in June.
She was 57. It just shows you once more how we just never know how much time we have and at the end of the day we are all the same really. RIP Kelly Preston and our thoughts are with the Travolta family.
