Steak Donated To Feed Hurricane Victims

A New Jersey man who was laid-off this summer because of the COVID-19 crisis is using his time to help the community. Brian Schwartz, a former VP of digital advertising, is now mowing lawns for senior citizens and veterans for free. He launched a website, I want to mow your lawn.com, and says “I just want to do good.”
Omaha Steaks is donating more than 60-thousand pounds of steak to help The Salvation Army feed those affected by Hurricane Laura. The around 200-thousand portions of meat that will be used for meals at 25 of The Salvation Army’s mobile feeding units. These are being scattered in hard hit areas between Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Beaumont, Texas.


A Colorado Girl Scout Troop wanted to help create a safer environment at their school. They watched videos online and learned how to construct homemade PPE. To fund their project, they used part of the money they raised selling Girl Scout Cookies.
