I’ve definitely noticed the days are getting much shorter and this morning was the first time there was a chill in my house. That means one thing for sure, we’re about to have a hard time prying ourselves out of bed in the morning.
It’s not just you, science has proven it. We’re about to enter that time of year when it’s colder outside and you will notice it harder to drag yourself out out of that warm, comfy bed.
Why is that?
According to a new study, it’s harder to get our brains to wake up and activate when it’s cold outside.
They found the parts of our brain that are normally activated by daylight in the morning get shut back down by the cold . . . so it takes a lot of extra effort to wake up and get out of bed.
