Today’s Good News: Secret Santa Surprises Formerly Homeless Mom With Gifts



A Secret Santa in Idaho had a big surprise for Clellie, a mom who was homeless and has overcome addiction to turn her life around. She now works as a Peer Support Specialist to help others in recovery and this Secret Santa wanted to reward her accomplishments. The anonymous donor paid her rent for a year and covered the cost of her car repairs and more.


 A teacher in India just won an annual competition called the Global Teacher Prize that comes with a $1 million cash prize.  And right after he won, he announced he’s taking half of the money and giving it to the other nine finalists.  He said he’s doing it because together, “we can make this world a better place.”



Lowe’s and the NFL are teaming up to help families hit hardest during the pandemic. They’re giving away more than 13-thousand pre-lit Christmas trees worth $1-million to childcare and youth centers, first responder stations and nonprofit housing organizations. Some of the NFL’s biggest names are working to distribute the trees over the next two weeks.
