Christmas Presents


Each of the students at Lynhurst Baptist Church Preschool in Indianapolis are getting Christmas presents this year, thanks to the school’s director, Renee Dixon. She took a second job driving for Uber and Lyft to earn extra money to buy presents for the kids. Almost all of the students are children of parents who have worked as essential workers during the pandemic and most are from families that fall at or below the poverty line. A Florida woman is spreading holiday cheer to those who need it most. Kathy Jones put out a call to get Christmas tree donations and has delivered more than 120 fully decorated artificial trees to struggling people in her community. In a chaotic year, she says, “A Christmas tree with lights on, it brings about a peace.” Source: People

A police officer in Virginia really wanted to help the last three dogs at the Chesterfield County Animal Shelter find a forever home before Christmas. Colonel Jeffrey S. Katz tweeted that he’d pay for adoption fees if Sugarplum, Claus, and Holly are adopted by Friday.And it worked! The pets have been adopted and have a home for the holidays. Source: People
