Today’s Good News: Tenants Surprise Their Cleaning Lady With The Penthouse

This might be the best good news story ever:  A cleaning lady in New York lost her job during COVID, and had to move in with her sister after working at the same upscale apartment building for 20 years.  But everyone who lives there loves her.  So they pooled their money . . . and moved her into the PENTHOUSE.

It’s a newly renovated four-bedroom with two massive rooftop terraces.  And they covered her rent for TWO YEARS.  We’re not sure how much it is, but the average rent in Manhattan is $3,800 a month.  So it cost a LOT more than that.

When she showed up, she thought the building manager hired her to clean the place.  But instead, he showed her around . . . handed her the keys . . . and she broke down in tears.  And the whole thing is on video.

A devoted dog waited for six days at a hospital entrance while his owner was a patient there. Cemal Senturk’s dog, Boncuk, escaped their home and patiently sat outside the hospital for her human. Each time she was brought home, she got out again and made her way back to the hospital, where staff fed and took care of her until her owner was discharged. Source: CNN

When a North Carolina town’s Covid vaccine drive-thru site got backed up, they brought in an expert. The mayor of Mount Pleasant enlisted the help of a local Chick-fil-A manager. Chick-fil-A manager Jerry Walkowiak stood in the rain and helped get the vaccine lines flowing smoothly, like the pro he is. Source: WSBTV
