Today’s Good News: Hero Crossing Guard Saves Student

Crossing guard supervisor Kathleen Quinn is being called a hero for keeping a little girl from getting hit by a reckless driver. She was helping kids get safely to school in Valrico, Florida when a car “swept through” the area, ignoring her commands to stop. Quinn grabbed the girl who was walking her bike across the street, stepping into harm’s way to protect the girl, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Source: Fox News


Bobby Sutcliffe works at a Chevron station in Boise, Idaho, and loves his job and regular customers, especially Chris McDermott. He’s become buddies with McDermott, who has special needs, and rides his bicycle all over town. A French nun has beaten COVID just in time to celebrate her 117th birthday this week. Sister Andre tested positive, but had no symptoms and is doing well. She is Europe’s oldest person and the world’s second-oldest living person, according to the Gerontology Research Group. Source: France 24
