A pair of pups tied the knot in South Carolina with help from Greenville County Animal Care. Sassy and Sparrow’s wedding helped to support the animal shelter’s “Have a Heart” fund, which provides heartworm treatment to shelter dogs. Both the bride and groom have suffered from the serious lung disease before, which is why they chose the cause “in lieu of gifts.” Source: Fox Carolina


A California mother is back home with her seven kids after almost losing her life to COVID. Carmen Sevillano battled the virus for eight months in the hospital and her doctors warned family she might not survive. The 36-year-old says she feels lucky to be alive today. Source: ABC 30



When snow and ice made road conditions dangerous in New Albany, Indiana, some helpful Jeep owners saved the day. The Southern Indiana Jeep Members group volunteered to give health care workers rides to and from work at the hospital.
