Today’s Good News: Social Media Helps Woman Find Kidney Donor



A woman in need of a kidney transplant turned to TikTok to help with her search for a donor. Sammi Rivera was in stage 4 chronic kidney disease and on dialysis when she made a video to help her find a living donor. After seeing the TikTok, Sparkie Harrison stepped up to donate her kidney to someone she’d never met. Source: KOIN


Tony Hawk is helping to revamp a Massachusetts skate park in honor of a local teen. The legendary professional skateboarder is donating $10-thousand to create the Frankie Fortuna Memorial Skatepark, named for a 19-year-old who died in 2015 after being hit by a car. The park is in the design phase and the generosity from Hawk will help it get closer to completion. Source: WHDH



A high school senior in Kansas has been thinking about the prom for two years, especially after it was canceled last year. Josiah Williams wasn’t sure this year’s event was happening until the last minute, but when he found out it was on, he needed a suit.
