Today’s Good News: Woman Uses Uber To Rescue Kitten


Nurse practitioner Kylie Gross saved a tiny kitten running through traffic on the streets of Hialeah, Florida. She was on her way to work and couldn’t find a local shelter to take the tiny kitten. But she found one in Jupiter who agreed to take her, so she paid for an Uber to drive the kitten there and says it was well worth the $160. Source: WPBF

A community organization in Raleigh, North Carolina, gave some local homeless people some TLC. They were treated to free haircuts and an Italian dinner with lasagna, salad and garlic bread. They were also given non-perishable food and supplies for future use. Source: ABC 11


A kidney donor from Wisconsin met up with her recipient from California for the first time at a baseball game and now they’re the best of friends. Lisa Sorlie donated her kidney to Booker T. Williams in 2019 and the two finally came face-to-face to watch the Milwaukee Brewers play the Los Angeles Dodgers on May 2nd. The pair plans to keep in contact and want to start a tradition of doing something together around their transplant anniversary each year. Source: Good Morning America
