Relieve Sunburn In 10 Seconds
So you thought you put on plenty of sunscreen and covered every inch of exposed area from head to toe, but at the end of the day in the sun, you’ve got a bright red sunburn to prove you wrong. We’ve all been there and it’s not a fun place to be, but there’s a fast and easy way to relieve that sunburn that’s way better than just squeezing some room-temperature aloe on your skin.
@BeautyHacks, a TikTok account with over 700-thousand followers, shares the ultimate hack to ease that pain: frozen aloe cubes. All you have to do is fill an ice cube tray with the aloe vera gel of your choice and stick it in the freezer. Use a silicone tray if you can, just to make them easier to pop the frozen cubes out. Then just leave them in the freezer until you need that sweet relief.
Aloe on it’s own is a top anti-inflammatory agent, that’s why it’s in so many after-sun products. But when you combine it with an ice cold temperature, it reduces inflammation even more. Of course, the best way to handle a sunburn is to prevent it from happening in the first place, but when you miss a spot with your sunscreen, your skin will thank you for those frozen aloe cubes.
